Many can find this sentence contraditory, because they have no idea what true love is, or what freedom is, or what hapinness is. That is a shame! To think that people can still be manipulated in so many ways since birth and not realising it.
Loving shouldn´t never make us suffer or make us forget about ourselves. Love is the most beautiful feeling, the divine state, therefore, love is freedom, not enprisonment. If you are losing something of yourself, that isn´t love, that is losing your own power.
